GREENSTONE TO FILM AT PIKE RIVER
On 19 November 2010 New Zealand was rocked by the news of a massive explosion at Pike River mine. Three years on the families of the 29 men killed are still fighting for justice and answers. Finally, this April a team of experts hope to re-enter the mine portal and make the long walk up the tunnel.
Greenstone TV has been funded by NZ On Air and TVONE to film a remarkable story of resilience in Diamonds in the Rough. The documentary will tell the emotional experiences of five Pike River women through the tragedy itself and into the future. Will the re-entry go as planned and will it provide the answers the women so desperately seek?
