Baby Keegan

prog-transforming-keegan

Keegan Marley was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called multi-sutural cranio synostosis.  In the womb several of Keegan’s skull plates had fused prematurely and his growing brain forced the unfused plates at the front of his head upwards giving him a large cone shaped head when he was born.  Keegan looked very unusual and his family were subjected to cruel taunts from the public. Children called him “an alien”.

Keegan’s first two years are the subject of documentary “Baby Keegan” screened in 2004. It follows Keegan and his family; his parents Michelle and Kym and his three siblings, brothers Brock and Konna and sister Sage as Keegan went through his first two major surgeries.
