Sallie, Sophie, and Jeff Leave Home
Twelve years ago in the documentary “Opening Doors”, mothers Janet, Mel and Suzy talked about the joys and frustrations of raising Jeff, Sallie and Sophie who all have intellectual disabilities. These children are now entering adulthood – what does this mean for them and their parents?
– What happens to them when the education system is finished with them?
– Who will look after them when their parents are too old?
– Can the parents ever have a life of their own?
This documentary “Sallie, Sophie and Jeff Leave Home” explores the realities of relationships, jobs and leaving home for these young adults.
