The people we meet in this documentary are within the tallest 3% of our population and are considered “giants” in our society. This documentary explores what it’s like to live in world you just don’t fit into.  A world where cars, clothes, houses and workplaces are all too small for you; where you have to learn to duck your head every time you walk through a doorway; and be prepared for abuse when you go to the movies.

The Private Lives of Giants explores the complexities of dating – what it’s like to tower over your partner and to be asked by strangers how you manage in bed. Whether it’s important to find a partner of similar height and is it different for a tall women dating to that of a tall man. We find out what it’s like to walk into a pub and to continually get hassled by fellows wanting to take on “the big guy”. How to handle the power issues of towering over your boss; and does height equal power.
