When the Landlord Comes to Call

It’s a hard life being a landlord at the best of times, but for the men and women who act as landlords for Housing New Zealand it’s a job at the social frontline.

Housing New Zealand is the country’s biggest landlord – with sixty thousand properties housing one hundred and eighty thousand people.

Looking after the houses and their tenants are three hundred and fifty tenancy managers.  They are the Government’s landlords.  They handle the problems, they collect the rent.

“When the Landlord Comes to Call” – this is the story of tenancy managers in our biggest city, Auckland, and what happens when they come to call…..
