“Fraud” a documentary showing the way in which everyday Kiwis are being ripped off.
Fraud is rampant in New Zealand and anyone with a cheque-book, credit card or eftpos card is at risk.
You don’t ever think something like that is going to happen to you.
We are all constantly at risk of Fraud. Every time we go to a bar someone could spy on our personal pin. When we log on to the internet, someone could steal our identity. Even at home we could be betrayed by family or friends.
Cheque and plastic card fraud costs New Zealand 18 million dollars a year. Plastic card fraud, is big business. It’s probably one of the fastest growing areas of white collar crime in the world.
This programme meets the fraudsters and the victims and tells you how to avoid being fleeced.
