Special Investigators are the men and women employed by government agencies to investigate serious, sometimes fatal, accidents. Planes crash, boats collide and people die at work without good reason. This brand new series accompanies investigators on the job as they piece together the facts to determine the cause of each accident.
Why did it happen?
How can further deaths be avoided?
Should someone be held accountable?
Join the investigators as they ask the hard questions. Was the machine properly maintained, were staff trained, had problems occurred before, were licenses current, were the correct systems and procedures in place and were they followed?
It’s a challenge to uncover the truth behind some of New Zealand’s many serious accidents and these investigators are our only chance to stop them happening again!
Three years in the making, Special Investigators is an observational documentary series a fly on the wall documentary series produced for TVONE.
