The unmasking of a Russian spy, the mysterious death of a computer dealer and the disappearance of an entire charter boat with everyone onboard are some of the intriguing stories exposed in Secret New Zealand.

The top-rating series produced by Greenstone features stories of intrigue, secrets, lies and cover-ups. In this new series, presented by Peter Elliott, the show’s producers have gained access to top secret SIS files, talked to high ranking politicians and uncovered fascinating evidence into a number of cases.

Producer Jill Graham says the second series examines both contemporary and historical stories, from wartime through to today. Despite New Zealand’s small size. the country does not lack for scandal and controversy.

“We have examined stories that have stunned us,” says Graham. “It’s incredible people ever thought they could keep them quiet. And there are more out there.”
